FY Medical Aesthetics (managed by Lumiere Clinic) respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are

What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, phone number, email address, the treatment you’re interested in and any notes you choose to add.
- When you book or visit: your contact details and the information needed to book and manage your appointments.
- During your treatment: your medical history and treatment notes, which form part of your confidential medical record.
How the contact form works
The form on our website does not store your details. When you press “WhatsApp us” or “Email us”, it opens WhatsApp or your email app with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send there. Once sent, your message is handled by WhatsApp or your email provider under their own privacy policies.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange consultations and appointments.
- To provide safe, appropriate treatment and aftercare.
- To keep the records we are required to keep by law.
We do not sell your information, and we will not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Only with the practitioners involved in your care, with service providers who help us run the practice (such as our online booking system, MyAppointment), or where the law requires it. Anyone we share information with must keep it confidential.
How we protect and keep it
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and confidential. We keep it only for as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires medical records to be kept.
This website
This website does not use cookies or tracking tools. Our Visit page shows an embedded Google Map, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when you visit. Links to Instagram, WhatsApp and our booking system take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us with your request and we’ll respond as soon as we can. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
